Research Design, Enumeration and Analysis

At DIA Research, we partner with universities, governments, NGOs, and international development organisations to generate the evidence that shapes better policy. Our work spans the full research lifecycle — from designing a survey instrument to delivering a final impact evaluation — with rigorous methodology and deep field expertise across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Whether you need a trusted field partner to collect data at scale, or a research team to design and execute an end-to-end study, DIA brings the infrastructure, local knowledge, and analytical capability to get it done. High-quality research depends on high-quality data. DIA operates one of the most experienced field enumeration networks in South Asia, with trained enumerators across urban and rural geographies in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. We also conduct large-scale household surveys, community-level assessments, and qualitative fieldwork, maintaining rigorous quality control at every stage.

Impact Evaluation

Understanding whether an intervention works requires more than measuring outputs. DIA specialises in rigorous impact evaluation across the development sector, helping governments, NGOs, and funders understand the causal effect of programmes in education, health, agriculture, gender, financial inclusion, and climate adaptation. Understanding whether an intervention works requires more than measuring outputs. DIA specialises in rigorous impact evaluation across the development sector, helping governments, NGOs, and funders understand the causal effect of programmes in education, health, agriculture, gender, financial inclusion, and climate adaptation. Our impact evaluation work includes: Baseline, midline, and endline data collection for longitudinal studies, Randomised Control Trials (RCTs) and experimental evaluations, process evaluation and implementation fidelity assessment, cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis

Qualitative Research

Numbers tell part of the story. Qualitative research reveals the context, mechanisms, and lived experiences that quantitative data cannot capture on its own. DIA conducts qualitative fieldwork bringing cultural sensitivity, rigorous methodology, and experienced field teams to every project. Our qualitative capabilities include: In-depth interviews (IDIs) and key informant interviews (KIIs), focus group discussions (FGDs) and triangulation with quantitative data for mixed-methods studies
